Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production services and features for Oura’s consumer experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including iOS, Android, data science, and health experts.
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from requirements clarification to implementation and iteration.
- Improve code quality, performance, and reliability through refactoring and automation.
- Contribute to architectural discussions to scale systems and maintain resilience.
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews and informal coaching.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems.
- Strong experience in multiple modern backend or application stacks.
- Proven track record of owning complex projects and driving them to successful outcomes.
- Solid understanding of system design fundamentals including APIs and data modeling.
- A product mindset focused on member experience and collaboration.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork across locations.
