Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and operate scalable cloud-native SaaS services for Secure Workload Access.
- Build secure and reliable components for workload authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.
- Own features and services from technical design and implementation through production deployment.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical tradeoff decisions.
- Integrate services with Kubernetes, cloud providers, identity systems, and PKI solutions.
- Improve service scalability, resiliency, observability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with product managers and architects to translate requirements into solutions.
- Review code and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
- Promote rigorous testing, documentation, and code quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including design, implementation, and operational ownership.
- Strong hands-on backend development experience with Go.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native or SaaS platforms at scale.
- Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and service-to-service communication.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and the broader cloud-native ecosystem.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks and own results.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical ideas and tradeoffs.
- Preferred: experience with workload identity, authentication, authorization, networking, encryption, PKI, JWT/SVID, or SPIFFE/SPIRE.
- Preferred: experience running production systems with high standards for reliability, performance, and security.
- Preferred: familiarity with logging, monitoring, tracing, and debugging.
