Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Maintain existing codebases, review code changes, and participate in architecture and code reviews.
- Identify system issues and improvement opportunities and develop standard operating procedures.
- Investigate and apply relevant technologies to improve software quality and delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to implement technical designs.
- Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.
- Lead or participate in cloud, DevOps, and AI modernization initiatives.
- Mentor less experienced developers and provide technical direction across projects.
- Translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience is required, with the posting additionally specifying 15 years of Java Full Stack Development experience.
- At least 12 years of Java Enterprise Edition experience and 10 or more years developing systems or software for large business environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big-data systems.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, or Snowflake is a plus.
- Experience with software security-enhancing tools and best practices and at least one shell scripting language.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Ability to work across business strategy, product strategy, technical design, and implementation.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, communication, facilitation, decision-making, and mentoring skills.
