Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues, patterns, and process improvements.
- Enhance and maintain existing applications and codebases, including peer review of code changes.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and customer support to implement technical designs and resolve technical problems.
- Investigate and apply relevant new technologies.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews.
- Lead or contribute to projects, mentor less experienced developers, and drive technical direction for SaaS and modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of Java full-stack development experience is required.
- At least 12 years of Java Enterprise Edition experience is required.
- At least 10 years of experience developing software or systems for large business environments is required.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems is required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- React front-end development experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems, data architecture, event buses such as Pulsar, and cloud-based big data solutions such as Snowflake.
- Experience with software security-enhancing tools and practices and at least one shell scripting language.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Proven experience leading cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and translating AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
