Base Salary
$138k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in software systems and applications.
- Provide technical leadership for complex development initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Product QA, and cross-functional teams to meet change, testing, and release requirements.
- Modernize established systems and improve efficiency through automation, continuous integration, and process optimization.
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance and formal or informal training to developers and other technical professionals.
- Recommend and implement software development best practices and consistent engineering standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, development practices, and industry trends for potential use in Epicor products and processes.
- Contribute to technical decisions and help teams deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
- Represent Epicor’s technical expertise at internal and external events as appropriate.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive software development experience, including demonstrated Windows Forms expertise.
- 3+ years of experience developing applications with VB.NET, including web and/or Windows Forms applications.
- 4+ years of experience working with software solutions in the distribution industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with software testing methodologies and defect resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical work, meet project deadlines, and mentor or coach technical professionals.
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to propose, evaluate, and implement new technical ideas and act as a technical thought leader and change agent.
- Preferred experience includes third-party and OCX control integration, WebSockets, REST APIs, HTTP GET and POST methods, XML, JSON, Windows Services, Web Services, IIS applications, Multi-Value databases or NoSQL concepts, Git, Visual SourceSafe, Jira, credit card processing, and automotive aftermarket parts supply chains.
