Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end architectures for complex, multi-tiered systems through implementation and production support.
- Transform monolithic applications into loosely coupled, microservices-based architectures.
- Design highly available, resilient, fault-tolerant, and cloud-native customer-facing applications.
- Architect API-first solutions using RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Evaluate RDBMS, NoSQL, legacy, and emerging database strategies.
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams on performance, scalability, compliance, and enterprise standards.
- Conduct system and process analysis to identify architectural gaps, automation opportunities, and performance improvements.
- Communicate architectural trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support architecture governance, design reviews, reusable patterns, and standards across the GCC.
- Mentor engineers and junior architects on architectural best practices at Principal level and above.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of experience in web/software development with increasing responsibility in solutions or enterprise architecture.
- Hands-on experience delivering complex, multi-tiered software systems end to end.
- Strong understanding of SOA, event-driven architecture, microservices, and domain-driven design.
- Experience with system and process analysis, architectural decision-making, and highly available customer-facing applications.
- Required experience with RDBMS and NoSQL database management systems.
- Experience designing cloud-native applications and RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience transforming monolithic systems into decoupled microservices architectures.
- Experience in at least two to three of Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Application Development, Database Technologies, or Cloud Computing, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent; equivalent professional experience is also considered.
- Preferred banking or financial services experience involving sensitive financial data.
- Preferred cybersecurity architecture, secure-by-design, business analysis, stakeholder management, and executive presentation experience.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Golang, C, C++, and a modern front-end framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Preferred cloud architecture, TOGAF, or equivalent certifications and experience in Agile/SAFe distributed delivery environments.
