Base Salary
$265k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects for Swift compiler, toolchain, SDK, and framework features on Windows.
- Port existing frameworks to Windows and fix Windows-specific bugs and tests.
- Monitor Swift CI builds and investigate and resolve build failures.
- Maintain and improve support for Windows ARM64, Android, and other developing or unsupported platforms.
- Build a macOS toolchain through GitHub Actions for use as an alternative toolchain in Xcode.
- Contribute work upstream to the open-source community.
- Improve infrastructure, deployment systems, release processes, feature flag infrastructure, observability, performance monitoring, and updater reliability.
- Drive projects from conception through production launch, mentor newer engineers, pair program, participate in code reviews, and interview candidates.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of operating-system or other low-level systems experience.
- Experience with large, complex codebases and a strong understanding of systems improvement, debugging, and maintainability.
- Passion for build systems, tooling, configuration, and maintainable developer workflows.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS is preferred but not required; Linux, VR/AR, or gaming systems experience is also valued.
- Availability for at least 4 hours of overlap with team members in the Eastern Time Zone, with a focus on North American time zones.
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills and comfort working on ambiguous technical challenges in a startup environment.
