Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, debug, and test customer-facing firmware features in C/C++ and Golang.
- Build and support IoT products serving more than 1.5 million devices in the field.
- Design and develop observability practices and metrics for firmware rollout health.
- Monitor firmware releases and triage customer- and QA-reported issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, customer support, firmware teams, full-stack engineers, system engineers, SoC vendors, and JDM partners.
- Develop production-ready platforms and evaluate interactions across hardware, software, networking, and data layers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional industry experience in software development.
- Experience with large-scale observability for production systems.
- Experience developing and shipping production code.
- Experience building and monitoring metrics during firmware rollouts.
- Experience triaging and assessing customer and QA issues.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar field.
- Experience with C/C++ or Golang is a plus.
- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems, complex SoCs, Linux drivers, and system debugging is preferred.
- Automotive OEM, supplier, or telematics provider experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of CAN-utils and Linux CAN is preferred.

- Annual base salary of $142,800—$184,800 CAD, plus eligibility for an initial RSU grant and ongoing refresh opportunities subject to plan terms.
