Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, debug, and test customer-facing firmware features in C/C++ and Golang.
- Build long-term IoT products and support more than 1.5 million devices in the field.
- Design and develop internal observability practices to ensure the health of firmware rollouts.
- Assess and triage incoming customer and QA issues and use metrics to support high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with product managers, customer support, customer success, firmware teams, and full-stack engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional industry experience in software development.
- Experience with large-scale observability for production systems and monitoring metrics during firmware rollouts.
- Experience developing and shipping production code and triaging customer- and QA-found issues.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Experience with C/C++ or Golang is a plus.
- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems on complex SoCs, Linux drivers, SoC vendors, JDM partners, or system-level debugging is valued.
- Automotive OEM, supplier, or telematics provider experience is valued.
- Basic knowledge of CAN-utils and Linux CAN is valued.
