Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency logging frameworks for telemetry, event, and console data streams.
- Develop features, interfaces, and optimizations for the Clockwork robotics middleware in collaboration with Autonomy, Cloud, and Safety teams.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve Clockwork’s performance, reliability, and usability in resource-constrained environments.
- Prototype, develop, and maintain sensor interfaces supporting the vehicle’s Perception system.
- Deliver high-quality software through automated testing, manual and automated code review, and consistent engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C++ with a deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency models, lock-free data structures, and memory management.
- Knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle and algorithm design principles.
- Experience developing high-performance software for resource-constrained environments, preferably in safety-critical applications.
- Strong understanding of POSIX, Linux, concurrent programming, and networking fundamentals.
- Comfort working with and debugging embedded systems.
- Experience with common tooling such as Bazel and Boost.
- Performance evaluation and optimization experience is highly desired.
- Domain experience in autonomous driving, robotics, or a related industry is highly desired.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
