Responsibilities
- Innovate beyond existing products and bring new software ideas to life.
- Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant, cloud-native backend systems and microservices.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, designers, and adjacent teams across multiple geographies.
- Research potential solutions and develop them with the Celonis Labs team.
- Maintain high quality and continuously improve engineering procedures and practices.
- Drive projects with increasing independence and contribute across multiple technical areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Strong expertise building microservices-based products with Java, Spring, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant, cloud-native distributed systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes and hyperscalers such as AWS.
- Ability to work across backend engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Databricks, ETL, Apache Spark, and PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Understanding of Git strategy, CI/CD, testing, and modern engineering practices.
- Ability to analyze and design complex software, learn independently, and collaborate effectively.
