Responsibilities
- Design, develop, verify, and maintain software for implantable neural stimulation systems and related medical technologies.
- Develop Windows desktop applications using C#, .NET, WPF, XAML, MVVM, Entity Framework, and service-oriented architectures.
- Develop scalable web applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS, and cloud-native architectures.
- Lead software activities across requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, code reviews, and deployment.
- Create and execute unit, integration, and system testing strategies.
- Maintain technical documentation, design records, change requests, and development artifacts according to quality procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, solve technical challenges, and deliver sound engineering solutions.
- Drive improvements to software processes, engineering standards, tools, workflows, and methodologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship and contribute to software architecture and technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience with strong C# and .NET proficiency.
- Experience developing Windows desktop applications with WPF, XAML, and MVVM.
- Hands-on experience building web applications with Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, or comparable technologies.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, software architecture patterns, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience developing and executing unit and integration testing strategies.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Preferred experience in regulated industries such as medical devices or healthcare.
- Preferred familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR Part 820.
- Preferred experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure, microservices, serverless architectures, Node.js, ASP.NET, WCF, RESTful services, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS.
- Preferred experience with Git, Jira, Code Collaborator, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, strong English communication skills, and the ability to independently solve complex problems.
