Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Develocity instances, artifact registries, and supporting services.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations, incident response, troubleshooting, and retrospectives.
- Automate application deployment, upgrades, monitoring, self-healing, and recovery.
- Build and maintain logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for managed services.
- Collaborate with engineering and Cloud Platform teams to improve reliability and tooling.
- Own disaster recovery, backups, and business continuity.
- Communicate with customers during incidents and maintenance windows.
- Optimize performance, resource usage, and operating costs.
- Help establish and evolve SaaS operations and SRE practices for a growing team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or an equivalent role operating production services at scale.
- Strong production Kubernetes experience.
- Cloud infrastructure expertise, preferably with AWS services including EKS, RDS, S3, and EC2.
- Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, and Terraform.
- Experience with incident management, incident response, and 24/7 on-call rotations.
- Knowledge of SRE practices including SLAs and SLOs.
- Python and Bash scripting proficiency for automation.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred: SaaS platform operations at scale, Develocity familiarity, Java or Kotlin experience, disaster recovery planning and execution, customer-facing incident communication, and experience establishing SRE practices in new or growing teams.
