Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate high-throughput, low-latency data processing pipelines that transform infrastructure telemetry into actionable intelligence.
- Evolve observability by identifying failure modes, operational patterns, and leading indicators and translating them into monitoring, analytics, and automation.
- Own services and platform components end to end, including architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and operational excellence.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and platform teams to define signals, metrics, and insights for reliability, performance, capacity, and customer impact.
- Serve as a technical leader and Designated Responsible Individual for critical services, driving incident response, root cause analysis, reliability improvements, and operational readiness.
- Promote engineering excellence through AI-assisted development and debugging, code reviews, system design, mentoring, and maintainability improvements.
- Apply emerging distributed systems, observability, AI infrastructure, and cloud operations techniques to operational challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years building end-to-end observability solutions for complex cloud infrastructure.
- Preferred: 2+ years of specialized experience with AI/HPC system management, high-speed networks, HPC storage, or cloud infrastructure management.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is $119,800–$234,700 per year, with different ranges for certain locations.
- Some roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
