Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in building and maintaining reliable, performant, secure, and scalable production systems.
- Monitor, alert on, investigate, and resolve production infrastructure issues across AWS and GCP.
- Design and implement automated solutions that optimize operational work and reduce toil.
- Serve as a technical point of contact during critical incidents, coordinate communication, track alert trends, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Execute production changes, security requests, code deployments, and patching pipelines safely.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering Management on technical solutions and roadmap execution.
- Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of engineers across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering experience operating production-ready systems at internet scale.
- Strong experience with system architecture, distributed microservices, self-healing systems, and efficient resource and network utilization.
- Advanced experience running containerized workloads with Kubernetes and Docker across public cloud providers.
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming and scripting, with strong Python and Go experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux, Nginx or Apache, MySQL, PHP, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience implementing metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems such as Prometheus or EFK stacks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and root cause analysis capabilities.
