Responsibilities
- Establish the strategic technical direction, reference patterns, technology strategy, and execution plan for a core product area.
- Plan and implement scalable foundational platform services for complex construction workflows.
- Lead hands-on development and architecture for durable web and full-stack systems.
- Drive projects from technical design and implementation through launch and ongoing operation.
- Lead code reviews, documentation, complex bug fixes, and architectural improvements.
- Mentor engineers and promote adoption of modern technologies, industry innovations, and architecture patterns.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, UX, architecture, and business stakeholders to align technology with strategic goals.
- Build prototypes with agentic AI coding systems and leverage AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable work experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, test-driven development, and design principles for web and full-stack applications at scale with distributed architectures.
- 8+ years of experience with full-stack modern applications and frameworks including Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, React, TypeScript, and Angular.
- 8+ years of experience with object-oriented programming fundamentals, test-driven development, and design principles using Ruby, Java, Go, Node.js, and Python.
- Experience with JavaScript ES6, HTML5, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, AngularJS, and Vue.
- Hands-on experience building prototypes with agentic AI coding systems and leveraging AI during the software development lifecycle.
- Extensive experience with modern testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Mocha, and Chai.
- Expertise across the full development lifecycle, including development, testing, staging, deployment, and monitoring of medium-to-large modern web projects.
- Ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders across the enterprise and maintain technical strategy and execution plans.
