Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for complex, multi-team initiatives.
- Own end-to-end delivery for systems handling high-volume transactions.
- Lead architecture and design decisions for distributed systems and event-driven microservices.
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept to validate new technologies.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing RESTful web services using the Spring framework.
- At least 3 years of experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- At least 3 years of experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
- At least 3 years of SQL development and database management experience.
- At least 3 years of experience using Azure or AWS services for solution design and implementation.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of healthcare-domain experience, including FHIR, HL7, and Azure Healthcare Services.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of experience developing public health or healthcare data pipelines.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of experience integrating FHIR healthcare data within Labcorp systems.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies, troubleshoot effectively, follow through, solve problems, and collaborate and communicate within Agile teams.
