Responsibilities
- Design and implement application-level architecture and develop applications for complex projects, components, and subsystems.
- Develop Java, Spring Boot, microservices, web services, and cloud-native applications across multiple systems.
- Build and deploy AWS-native applications and provision cloud infrastructure components including ECS, EKS, RDS, AWS Batch, and Elastic Load Balancing.
- Establish GitHub branching strategies and software development and source-control best practices.
- Recommend development testing tools and methodologies, review test plans, and ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Create documentation, project life-cycle plans, schedules, assignments, technical estimates, and risk-management strategies for multiple projects.
- Act as a liaison with business units to resolve technology issues and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Advise senior management on technical strategy and mentor junior team members.
- Design real-time ingestion pipelines and caching solutions using Oracle, Step Functions, AWS Batch, and Aerospike.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus five years of relevant experience, or a related master's degree plus three years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and performing software application development in enterprise environments using modern AWS cloud technologies and concepts.
- Expertise in object-oriented design and Java/J2EE web application development using Spring MVC, Spring Security, web services, and cloud-native deployments.
- Experience building and maintaining B2B microservices-oriented web applications across multiple systems and applications.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into system specifications and designs using enterprise web services, APIs, microservices, and REST design principles.
- Experience provisioning AWS Batch, ECS, EKS, RDS, and Elastic Load Balancer infrastructure using AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Experience with Oracle configuration tables or configuration servers, Aerospike caching, and real-time ingestion pipelines.
- Ability to perform complex technical and functional analysis, develop original technical solutions, coordinate multiple projects, and mentor junior team members.
