Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex enterprise applications, foundational platform components, shared services, and application-level architectures.
- Design cloud-native systems using event streaming, distributed caching, zero-downtime deployment, scalable data flows, and resiliency patterns.
- Perform performance engineering, capacity modeling, prototyping, feasibility analysis, and technical evaluation of emerging technologies.
- Develop backend services, customer-facing applications, web services, batch-processing systems, and event-driven systems.
- Define development, testing, quality-control, documentation, CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure automation strategies.
- Plan and coordinate complex project schedules, assignments, life-cycle plans, budgets, risks, and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Act as a liaison with business units, advise senior management on technical strategy, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields and three years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience must include implementing and supporting applications and mid-tier services in a financial services or healthcare environment.
- Expertise with Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Struts, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, ReactJS, RESTful web services, SQL/NoSQL databases, Kafka, OAuth, and SAML.
- Experience with GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Postman, JMeter, Maven, NPM, Git, Jira, ServiceNow, Splunk, and Datadog.
- Experience with technical design documentation, UML sequence diagrams, ERDs, system design artifacts, Draw.io, Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, Windows, and Unix environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design secure distributed systems, lead architecture and technical strategy, manage complex projects, and mentor engineers.
