Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and architect file, block, and AI/ML storage solutions within the secure Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped ecosystem.
- Define, isolate, and optimize storage performance against IOPS, throughput, and latency benchmarks.
- Implement secure multi-tenant virtual machine and role-based access control environments.
- Build observability, monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation capabilities for highly available storage operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the Google Distributed Cloud architecture scales effectively.
- Mentor engineers and establish software development processes, governance, and developer-velocity practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 4 years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade file and block storage architectures.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with storage performance characterization, throughput benchmarking, or latency optimization using industry-standard tools.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Preferred: 3 years with NetApp ONTAP architecture, including storage virtual machines and multi-tenant role-based access control.
- Preferred: 2 years designing high-throughput, low-latency storage architectures for AI/ML workloads or air-gapped systems.
