Responsibilities
- Architect microservices, web platforms, and application-level solutions across multiple platforms.
- Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document complex secure, distributed, low-latency, and scalable applications.
- Participate in architecture design teams and establish project life-cycle plans for complex projects.
- Define development testing tools and methodologies, review test plans, and ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Perform release management, production support, system monitoring, debugging, log analysis, and application performance optimization.
- Coordinate project schedules and assignments, assess risks, and support delivery against project goals, schedules, and budgets.
- Act as a liaison with business units, provide technology evaluations and solutions, and advise senior management on technical strategy.
- Mentor junior team members and develop technical documentation, algorithms, and business process flowcharts.
- Create Splunk dashboards and deliver data metrics, analytics, and product usage insights for business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields plus three years of relevant experience.
- Experience building and maintaining web applications using Angular, JavaScript, and RESTful web services in a financial or technology services domain supporting student debt repayment programs.
- Expertise with Java and J2EE technologies, including Spring, Spring Boot, Servlets, and JSP.
- Expertise with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, Node.js, RESTful web services, Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, and Tomcat.
- Experience applying OAuth, SAML, JUnit, Jasmine, Karma, Agile methodologies, requirements analysis, technical design, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment automation, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS, Maven, uDeploy, Stash, and Artifactory.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting distributed applications using Splunk, Datadog, Eclipse, and Visual Studio.
- Experience optimizing application performance, scalability, and reliability in containerized environments and Kubernetes clusters.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, manage complex projects, advise management, and mentor junior team members.
