Responsibilities
- Build working proof-of-value solutions using prospects’ data and systems during technical sales evaluations.
- Lead discovery, architecture and security/compliance reviews, integration feasibility assessments, RFP responses, and ROI presentations with customer stakeholders.
- Architect and deploy customer-specific AI Agent configurations that automate complex accounting processes in production.
- Review and edit Python, write SQL, troubleshoot integrations and data flows, and optimize SQL validations and API-driven workflows.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for customer implementation issues while maintaining SLAs and documenting resolutions.
- Lead transformation engagements, workflow redesign, customer training, adoption workshops, renewals, and expansion efforts.
- Surface customer feedback and integration requirements to Product and Core Engineering and create reusable implementation and expansion playbooks.
- Travel to customer sites as needed, up to 70%, for evaluations, deployments, training, and workshops.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical consulting, or a comparable hands-on customer-embedded engineering role.
- Deep experience with agentic AI workflows, including LangChain, LangGraph, MCP servers, multi-agent systems, RAG, vector stores, and hybrid retrieval.
- Experience with LLMs and related tooling, including OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and prompt engineering.
- Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong technical fluency and the ability to collaborate as a peer with Product Managers and Engineers.
- Experience managing multiple technical deployments under delivery pressure and leading technical troubleshooting calls.
- Ability to build proof-of-value solutions during sales cycles and operate them reliably in production afterward.
- Ability to translate ambiguity into executable requirements and communicate clearly with engineers and executives.
- Strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and ability to work under delivery and revenue pressure.
- Preferred experience in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, fintech, ERP, accounting-adjacent domains, or a relevant industry vertical.
- Prior experience embedded at a customer site for a multi-month deployment is preferred; non-traditional backgrounds such as veterans, management consultants, competitive programmers, and PhDs are welcomed.
