Base Salary
$307k - $427k/yr
Responsibilities
- Grow the YouTube Shorts creator ecosystem by inspiring viewers to create.
- Model Consumption to Creation journeys and build attribution systems across multiple touch points.
- Build cold-start solutions that match creators with audiences.
- Lead the transition from views-only rewards to deeper engagement and creator-recognition value models.
- Use LLMs, multimodality modeling, and large embedding models to develop specialized recommender systems.
- Partner with Gemini, research, CoreX, Music, Community, and Infrastructure teams to integrate creator-growth strategy across YouTube.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of engineering experience.
- Experience with cross-functional technical innovation.
- Preferred: 7 years in a technical leadership role responsible for multiple technical areas and setting technical direction.
- Deep expertise in large-scale recommendation systems, including retrieval and ranking, generative AI for content understanding, and machine learning infrastructure.
- Ability to manage multiple complex assignments and work with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams.
