Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated functional, regression, performance, integration, system, exploratory, cross-browser, mobile, and user acceptance testing.
- Create and execute test plans, test designs, test scenarios, and QA strategies for business-facing and financial applications.
- Monitor, track, assign, and escalate defects using test management and defect-tracking systems.
- Communicate QA metrics, test results, concerns, and project status to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain QA documentation, including test plans, performance evaluations, functionality testing records, and maintenance planning.
- Drive innovation and automation of testing processes using tools and scripts.
- Test data flows across business applications and validate enterprise, middleware, web, and mobile solutions.
- Collaborate with development, product management, and technical support to meet project quality objectives within schedule constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5–8 years of experience working in a Quality Assurance role in an IT environment.
- Experience with test planning, test creation, test execution, structured test methodologies, and managing multiple projects or initiatives.
- Experience testing all phases of the software development life cycle and software testing life cycle.
- Strong understanding of testing and QA strategy design for front-office trading applications and the financial and asset-management domain.
- Solid knowledge of manual and automated software testing, QA automation, performance testing, and process improvement.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, XP, and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Expertise in test design, test development, and QA of enterprise-level application systems, middleware, and web solutions.
- Experience with HP Quality Center (ALM), Jira, Bugzilla, ServiceNow, or similar test management and defect-tracking systems.
- Hands-on experience with SpecFlow, Selenium, Coded UI, or other test automation tools.
- Experience with build validation and verification, boundary value analysis, equivalence class partitioning, smoke testing, functional testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, ad hoc testing, cross-browser testing, user interface testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Proficiency testing across Windows, Linux, and macOS, and across Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari; mobile testing on Android and iOS devices is a plus.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure, networking, and security concepts is a plus.
- Knowledge of HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, SQL, .NET, and C#.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, MySQL, SVN, TWiki, XMLSpy, Team Foundation Server, and MS Visio is relevant.
- Strong written, verbal, communication, presentation, collaboration, self-management, and organizational skills.
