Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing Solutions Engineer team and improve team performance.
- Drive revenue through account planning, territory planning, resource planning, and resource allocation.
- Lead technical account strategies aligned with customer business requirements and goals.
- Monitor and approve customer-focused pre-sales resource requests and track opportunity metrics.
- Measure team progress against business plans and recommend changes as needed.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Leaders, business units, partners, customers, corporate teams, and field organizations.
- Lead multifunctional projects and facilitate communication about customer requirements.
- Build team capabilities and develop internal and external talent pipelines.
- Improve customer experience, satisfaction, and brand loyalty in the assigned territory.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in technical sales or Solutions Engineering roles collaborating with sales and customer-facing teams.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a technical-related field or equivalent experience.
- Leadership or team lead experience is preferred.
- Experience integrating AI tools, automation scripts, and digital collaboration platforms into daily workflows is preferred.
- Experience with business economics, industry trends, vertical markets, and the financial and strategic value of Cisco solutions is preferred.
- Advanced understanding of internetworking industry trends and the ability to articulate trade-offs between Cisco and competitor products is preferred.
- Experience with account and resource planning, business-plan tracking, strategy communication, and team development is preferred.
- Executive communication and presentation skills are preferred.
Benefits
- Starting salary range is $208,200 to $264,400, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
- Sales-plan employees are eligible for performance-based incentive pay with quota and non-quota components.
