Sr. Software AI Engineer
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Build AI agents, MCP servers, tools, and LLM or generative-AI product capabilities.
- Implement structured prompting, memory management, context management, and retrieval-augmented generation patterns.
- Build AI-native application experiences with cross-functional teams.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of medium-to-large features and contribute to technical direction.
- Establish testing approaches for prompts and model performance and implement observability for AI features.
- Support technical reviews, integrations, delivery execution, and production operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience using at least one general-purpose programming language, including Python, Java, or Go, plus front-end experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Proven experience shipping production applications incorporating LLMs, MCPs, or AI services at scale.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: cloud software development, architecture design, technical leadership, and system optimization experience.
- Preferred: experience with Strands, ADK, agent development frameworks, multiple LLM providers, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, or LangChain.
- Preferred: experience with React, Vue, Angular, advanced state management, vector databases such as pgvector, embedding model optimization, enterprise RAG, semantic search, and conversation memory management.
