Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enhancements and new features, producing technical solutions that receive positive design and code review feedback.
- Apply domain knowledge of RP2 systems to communicate requirements, constraints, and proposals with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Translate underspecified business problems into concrete technical designs in a high-ambiguity environment.
- Lead projects independently by defining plans, estimating tasks, and coordinating execution with engineers across teams.
- Mentor junior engineers through code and design reviews and direct guidance.
- Identify and streamline team engineering processes.
- Architect, design, and implement federated, scalable distributed systems with high availability, low latency, and high throughput.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 3 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 3 years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
