Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and ship well-defined Couchbase management features integrating with cloud-native technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and test-coverage efforts.
- Contribute to documentation, examples, and tutorials for cloud-native integrations.
- Help Sales Engineers, Professional Services, and Support investigate and resolve customer issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, CI/CD, on-call, and bug-triage rotations.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, senior engineers, and partner engineering teams to refine requirements and designs.
- Contribute to open-source cloud-native projects and share knowledge with the engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of professional software development experience and proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes through professional, academic, or personal projects.
- Experience with software development and build automation processes such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with Golang or Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM Templates, or GCP Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments.
- A GitHub or similar presence and interest in open-source contribution are preferred.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work with distributed teams across time zones.
