Base Salary
$170k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own feature development from technical design through delivery.
- Write high-quality, idiomatic Ruby code.
- Contribute to team-level architectural decisions.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve code quality and performance.
- Guide junior engineers through code reviews and design feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate technical decisions.
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
- Document technical decisions and service patterns.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with Ruby on Rails.
- History of delivering complex features within a software team.
- Experience breaking down ambiguous requirements into technical plans.
- Exposure to large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails and strong PostgreSQL skills.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs within Rails.
- Solid testing practices using RSpec or Minitest.
- Familiarity with background job processing and containerization.
