Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and product direction for core search APIs, monitoring, vertical feeds, evaluation tooling, and new retrieval primitives.
- Lead technical solutions for strategic accounts by architecting integrations, unblocking customer teams, and converting pilots into partnerships.
- Translate customer conversations into product bets, specifications, roadmap priorities, and shipped features.
- Run technical deep-dives and create documentation and reference implementations for AI builders.
- Partner with engineering on API design, performance, and developer experience.
- Prototype new API primitives and ship production code in the core stack.
- Represent the product as a trusted technical voice with customers and help shape go-to-market decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience spanning engineering and product roles, including significant time with developer-facing or API products.
- Ability and desire to write production code.
- Deep familiarity with AI agents, the LLM ecosystem, retrieval, and current AI tooling limitations.
- Track record of owning ambiguous, high-stakes problems end-to-end.
- Strong customer instincts and the ability to maintain technical credibility with engineers and commercial credibility with executives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in an early-stage startup with shifting priorities and incomplete information.
- Bonus: experience shipping developer APIs or platform products used by engineers.
- Bonus: experience working with sales or solutions teams or leading that motion.
- Bonus: experience building or contributing to AI agents, retrieval systems, or search infrastructure.
- Bonus: public open-source, writing, speaking, or other footprint in AI or developer tools.
