Base Salary

$102k - $169k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade AI agents, workflows, tool integrations, and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Integrate agents with UKG enterprise systems using tools, APIs, MCP servers, custom skills, and plugins.
  • Own delivery of agent-powered features and projects in partnership with product, architecture, and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to technical designs covering coordination, delegation, communication, scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Review code, uphold engineering quality, and implement testing and observability practices.
  • Monitor service health and agent performance, conduct root cause analysis, and improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage agent deployment, versioning, cost monitoring, performance optimization, tracing, decision logging, and failure analysis.
  • Define and automate agent-specific testing, including prompt validation, evaluation, workflow, tool invocation, tool validation, and adversarial testing.
  • Document features and operational procedures, share knowledge, mentor engineers, and evaluate emerging agentic AI technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 4 years of professional software development experience with hands-on LLM-powered application or agentic AI system development.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Production experience with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks.
  • Understanding of agent orchestration, tool-use architectures, prompt and context engineering, ReAct, and multi-agent collaboration.
  • Experience integrating software or agents with enterprise systems through APIs, tools, REST APIs, MCP, and function calling.
  • Experience with software architecture, design patterns, and scalable, reliable systems operated across the software lifecycle.
  • Experience delivering complex software features or projects with product, architecture, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with GCP, Vertex AI, Google ADK, Azure, Azure OpenAI, AWS, Bedrock, and GitHub or comparable technologies.
  • Experience building telemetry and observability, including execution tracing, decision logging, cost monitoring, or success-rate tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality solutions.
  • Preferred qualifications include agent evaluation, prompt testing, tool validation, adversarial testing, automated testing, production observability, accessible technology development, and participation in diversity and inclusion initiatives.
