Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Enhance power-grid technologies such as dynamic line rating.
- Collaborate with Energy Grids and Weather teams to integrate dynamic line rating into grid optimization and operation.
- Prepare reports and presentations.
- Develop experiments, prototypes, and implementations for research-focused software engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with software engineering or programming.
- At least 3 years of experience in power or performance modeling or systems performance analysis.
- At least 2 years of experience in machine learning fields.
- Experience working with real grid operator data.
- Preferred experience with modeling or simulation of Grid-Enhancing Technologies.
- Preferred experience building power-systems optimization models in Python or Julia.
- Preferred experience with complex physical or environmental data systems, especially weather forecasting, climate modeling, energy grid systems, or related sustainability fields.
