Responsibilities
- Develop new features and enhancements for desks and operations users using Java and Calypso APIs.
- Develop and maintain Calypso back-office applications supporting commodity trading operations.
- Implement and support trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, reporting, and payment notice workflows.
- Design and maintain Calypso Scheduled Tasks, Reports, Engines, message frameworks, and sender frameworks.
- Participate in planning, work estimation, technical reviews, and delivery activities.
- Develop and execute unit, functional, integration, and regression tests.
- Provide L2 support by investigating incidents, troubleshooting defects, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations, trade support, development, testing, and technical teams.
- Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, implementation details, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of total IT experience and 5 years of professional Java development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Calypso APIs, and Calypso v16 or above.
- Proven commodities asset-class expertise and experience with at least one relevant asset-class group such as Fixed Income, FX, or Commodities.
- Experience with Calypso Scheduled Tasks, Reports, Engines, message frameworks, and sender frameworks.
- Strong understanding of trade settlement, reconciliation, reporting, confirmations, and payment notice processing.
- Experience with testing, troubleshooting, incident investigation, production issue resolution, and L2 support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred exposure to AWS, Kubernetes, Grafana, Maven, Jenkins, CloudBees, derivative products, enterprise trading-platform integrations, and database investigation.
