Base Salary
$144k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and support enterprise business applications.
- Develop web applications, APIs, and system integrations using modern application development technologies.
- Analyze business and technical requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and recommend technology solutions.
- Lead application migration, enhancement, integration, and modernization efforts.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, API, and system integration issues.
- Support cloud-based technologies and enterprise application infrastructure.
- Prepare technical specifications, system documentation, and implementation procedures.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve business processes and system performance.
- Collaborate with departments, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver and support enterprise technology solutions.
- Lead application development and implementation projects through planning, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, guidance, and consultation to technical staff and business partners.
Requirements
- Associate degree in computer science or a closely related field, or equivalent coursework of at least 60 semester or 90 quarter credits including specified computer science coursework.
- One year of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining system or platform components.
- One additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the required degree, or completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may substitute for the degree.
- Desirable qualifications include three years of experience with enterprise applications and database systems.
- Desirable qualifications include three years of experience developing and supporting web applications using .NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java, PHP, or similar technologies.
- Desirable qualifications include one year of experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and web application user-interface design is desirable.
Benefits
- Full-time Permanent Exempt employment with the San Francisco Planning Department.
- The appointment is excluded from the competitive civil service examination process and serves at the discretion of the Appointment Officer.
- The appointment duration may not exceed 36 months.
- Annual salary is $143,572-$180,596.
