Responsibilities
- Own customer solutions end-to-end, from rapid prototyping and iteration through deployment in live operational environments.
- Build and ship LLM-based applications, RAG systems, multi-agent workflows, tool-use patterns, and agentic solutions on the Kinaxis Maestro Platform.
- Run multiple customer engagements in parallel, set expectations, operate independently, and own delivery outcomes.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, serving, and monitoring.
- Develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders from individual contributors through executive sponsors.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to convert field learnings into reusable platform capabilities.
- Guide customer transitions, drive adoption, and mentor customer operators and teams.
- Debug and fix issues in production and measure success through business outcomes such as efficiency gains, exception reduction, and SLA improvements.
- Travel as required, up to 50%.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-based applications, including RAG systems, multi-agent workflows, tool-use patterns, and prompt and context engineering.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot and Claude Code, including agentic IDE workflows.
- Understanding of agentic orchestration patterns, memory, and state management.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals and experience building and shipping real systems.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language, with Python strongly preferred, and ability to contribute across a polyglot codebase.
- Experience with REST and streaming APIs, authentication patterns, and enterprise-system integrations.
- Ability to build and maintain data pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Kafka, dbt, or equivalents.
- Working familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar modern data platforms, including data modeling and performance fundamentals.
- Strong debugging ability with imperfect, real-world production data and high-agency ownership of undefined problems.
- Two to five years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, solutions engineering, or a technical-founder role.
- Customer-facing technical experience in solutions engineering, forward deployment, technical consulting, or a comparable startup environment is strongly preferred but not required.
- Supply chain planning, logistics, or operations experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement.
- Clear written, verbal, and in-person communication skills and the ability to work across engineering, product, business, and customer stakeholders.
