Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, debug, implement, and support the API platform and tooling.
- Develop applications, frameworks, and tools to improve developer productivity and the software development lifecycle.
- Build software applications with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, including comprehensive unit tests.
- Develop CI/CD pipeline tools and frameworks using GitLab, Python, and shell scripts.
- Support adoption of the API gateway and frameworks by resolving usage issues and answering development-team questions.
Requirements
- Require 3–5+ years of software development experience using Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript, including Python and scripting-language experience.
- Require experience developing unit tests with Jest, Mocha, Chai, or an equivalent testing framework.
- Require hands-on experience building and operating public-cloud services, preferably AWS, including API or microservice development with versioning, authentication and authorization, and documentation.
- Require experience with GitLab, Terraform, Git-based workflows, and source version control such as Git.
- Require understanding of software architecture, reliability, performance, and observability.
- Preferred qualifications include API Gateway experience, work with platform teams, strong cloud experience, and AWS certifications.
