Base Salary

$125k - $229k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own, design, build, and operate scalable batch and near-real-time ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Define and implement dimensional models, data marts, curated datasets, and warehouse designs optimized for performance, usability, and governance.
  • Implement data quality checks, validations, monitoring, and alerting for accuracy, freshness, and trust.
  • Collaborate with product managers, BI teams, data scientists, and internal business teams to create data solutions.
  • Propose technical improvements, review designs, and influence standards within the established architecture.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, pairing, and documentation.
  • Improve data-system performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and observability, and participate in on-call and incident response as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 6–8+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and analytics/reporting data modeling, including hands-on Snowflake and/or Databricks experience.
  • Experience building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow, Dagster, Glue, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, or similar programming languages, with familiarity with Spark-based processing.
  • Understanding of Git and CI/CD practices, plus experience with data quality, observability, and operational support.
  • Ability to independently deliver complex data solutions, make technical tradeoffs, collaborate effectively, and influence outcomes without formal authority.
  • Preferred qualifications include petabyte-scale or high-growth data experience, governance/security/compliance knowledge, Docker or Kubernetes exposure, cloud infrastructure familiarity, AdTech or analytics-heavy experience, and BI/reporting tool experience.
