Base Salary

$140k - $233k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams for complex cloud-based civil identity software solutions.
  • Lead systems-level requirements analysis, solution design, implementation approaches, validation strategies, and long-term product maintainability.
  • Deploy, configure, integrate, and validate software solutions in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Define engineering standards, coding practices, design patterns, and quality practices across projects and teams.
  • Resolve complex performance, scalability, reliability, and integration issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption to improve product capabilities, security, and development efficiency.
  • Translate business, customer, and regulatory requirements into technical architectures and implementation strategies.
  • Lead code reviews and provide hands-on technical guidance to software engineers and architects.
  • Maintain architecture descriptions, reference designs, technical standards, and other authoritative documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise for sales and bid activities, including solution architecture, feasibility, risk assessment, and compliant proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8 to 12 years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
  • Expertise in modern software development, object-oriented and service-oriented design, and technologies such as Java, Angular, and/or React.
  • Advanced PowerShell or Bash scripting and automation experience.
  • Hands-on experience deploying, integrating, and configuring complex software solutions using AWS and/or Azure, Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Experience leading software integration and deployment of complex multi-component systems across teams or programs.
  • Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, enterprise development workflows, branching, releases, and quality practices.
  • Deep expertise in secure software design, application security, authentication, authorization, and sensitive-data protection.
  • Experience with data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning using SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and the ability to adapt practices to program needs.
  • Expertise in web API design and server-side application architecture, including scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, technical judgment, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure and security practices for identity management and secure system design.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain post-hire CJIS, CFIUS, and Department of Treasury clearances.
  • Must successfully complete a post-offer background check.
