Base Salary
$140k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams developing complex cloud-based civil identity software solutions.
- Lead systems-level requirements analysis, architecture, implementation planning, validation, and long-term product maintainability.
- Deploy, configure, integrate, and validate software solutions in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Define engineering standards, coding practices, design patterns, and quality approaches across projects and teams.
- Resolve high-impact performance, scalability, reliability, and integration issues through root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Lead code reviews and guide Software Engineers and Architects on technical direction.
- Maintain architecture descriptions, reference designs, technical standards, and other authoritative documentation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute technical expertise to sales and bid activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
- Expertise in object-oriented and service-oriented design using technologies such as Java, Angular, and/or React.
- Advanced PowerShell and Bash scripting and automation experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying, integrating, and configuring complex software in on-premises and cloud environments using AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and orchestration tools including Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
- Experience providing technical leadership for multi-component software integration and deployment across teams or programs.
- Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, enterprise development workflows, branching, release, and quality practices.
- Deep expertise in secure software design, application security, authentication, authorization, and sensitive-data protection.
- Experience with data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning using SQL Server and MySQL.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and the ability to adapt practices to program needs.
- Expertise in web API design and server-side architecture, including scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
- Advanced knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure and applied security practices in identity management and secure system design.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and strategic technical judgment skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain post-hire CJIS, CFIUS, and Department of Treasury clearances.
