Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services in Go or Node.js for partner-facing features and internal tooling.
- Develop REST APIs, authentication, and data layers using sound production design practices.
- Own reliable webhook delivery with at-least-once semantics, HMAC signatures, signature verification, and retries.
- Design API versioning, pagination, and idempotency to preserve existing integrations.
- Make schema and query design decisions for PostgreSQL and DynamoDB under production load.
- Partner with AI Platform on ML checkpoint productionization and inference-serving services.
- Collaborate with Partner Engineering on partner-facing API contracts.
- Help establish backend engineering practices, code review norms, and service patterns.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building and operating production backend services in Go or Node.js.
- Experience designing REST APIs with versioning, pagination, and idempotency keys.
- Experience with authentication, including OAuth 2.0, API key management, and JWT.
- Experience building reliable webhook delivery with at-least-once semantics, signature verification, and retries.
- Comfort with PostgreSQL or DynamoDB schema and query design.
- Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving startup environment.
- Experience supporting ML or inference-serving infrastructure or working alongside an ML platform team is preferred.
- Docker and Kubernetes exposure is preferred.
