Base Salary
$120k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end backend product features covering domain models, business logic, and API integrations.
- Deliver incremental releases and iterate based on product and system performance.
- Use SQL and analytics tools to assess product outcomes and system health.
- Debug complex state machines and workflows in event-driven systems using pub/sub messaging.
- Ship code through CI/CD, own implementations through production, and help resolve incidents.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building backend features for production systems.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
- Relational database experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and code review.
- Experience developing consumer-facing products and using SQL and analytics tools to evaluate performance.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and experience in a high-bar engineering environment.
- Go and GCP experience, distributed systems experience, and early-stage startup experience are relevant or preferred.
