Responsibilities
- Identify and characterize bottlenecks in live production systems.
- Collaborate with database and infrastructure teams to implement performance improvements.
- Develop and evolve performance methodologies and tooling for actionable insights.
- Work with the observability team to capture performance signals across products.
- Enable teams to self-serve performance analysis.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in performance engineering of complex distributed systems.
- Ability to analyze performance issues across the entire technology stack.
- Deep knowledge of either Linux kernel internals or database internals.
- Strong understanding of networking and cloud infrastructure performance.
- Proven track record of translating performance insights into product improvements.
- Excellent written communication skills for precise problem characterization.
