Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable solutions using web services, APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Develop, review, and operate high-performance distributed systems supporting the Amazon Business seller experience.
- Lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and teammates.
- Own software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, and operations.
- Review operational metrics and alerts, develop features, improve systems, and document architecture decisions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 3 years of video games industry experience supporting title development, release, or live operations.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
