Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning.
- Lead feature decomposition, user-story planning, cross-team dependency management, and impediment removal.
- Design, code, test, debug, and maintain Java applications for the Planner subsystem.
- Develop and maintain automation tools, automated build pipelines, and configuration-managed software.
- Support delivery of high-quality software meeting performance, security, and reliability standards.
- Report to the Product Owner and provide leadership to the software development team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience, including 3–5+ years of Java development in a missile defense or high-availability systems environment.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Prior experience as a software engineer, systems engineer, or other technical contributor supporting software development teams.
- Experience with Java/J2EE or alternative object-oriented development; C++ experience is desired.
- Knowledge of coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience supporting DoD or missile defense programs and leading Agile teams on complex software systems.
- Preferred experience decomposing Agile features into user stories and working in a SAFe environment.
- Agile certifications such as CSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, SSM, or PSM are preferred.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management System for government financial tracking is a plus.
