Responsibilities
- Own customer success through the design and delivery of a multi-year software roadmap.
- Leverage engineering teams to rapidly deliver capabilities beyond current platforms.
- Collaborate with external teams on interfacing requirements between systems.
- Drive architecture selection and design for robotic systems.
- Contribute to the design and development of a company-wide software roadmap.
- Lead teams in developing software for on- and off-platform applications.
- Act as a subject matter expert for software engineering.
- Drive the design and implementation of development processes.
- Create test and simulation fixtures for software and hardware integration.
- Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
- Mentor Senior Software Engineers and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- Travel to co-locate with end-users and other teams up to 20% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a leadership position within a high-performing technology organization.
- Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer in relevant domains.
- Strong systems and application programming skills.
- Experience troubleshooting remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to work holistically on software-enabled capabilities.
- Capacity to act as the technical owner for an entire software system.
- Ability to learn and mentor effectively.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
