Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement features for AWS’s cloud-hosted automated reasoning platform, including query routing, solver orchestration, result caching, and soundness management.
  • Build and maintain distributed systems meeting availability, latency, correctness, and operational excellence standards.
  • Evolve service APIs to help customers integrate automated reasoning capabilities into their workflows.
  • Collaborate with Automated Reasoning scientists to integrate solver improvements and new capabilities into production.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, monitoring and alerting, service reliability improvements, code reviews, and design discussions.
  • Work with internal AWS customer teams to understand use cases and troubleshoot integration issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
