Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable Python backend services, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and payment infrastructure.
Build high-availability, secure, scalable, and performant cloud-native systems and revenue-processing pipelines.
Participate in architecture discussions, technical strategy, and architectural decision-making.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive continuous improvements in observability, maintainability, and engineering excellence.
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, AI, and DevOps teams to deliver backend solutions.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and engineering best practices.
Contribute to AI-powered product capabilities and AI/ML-driven initiatives.

At least 5 years of professional backend software engineering experience using Python.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and distributed backend systems.
Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Understanding of scalable cloud-native architectures and microservices principles.
Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.
Ability to solve complex problems, communicate and collaborate effectively, and drive technical initiatives.
Ability to contribute to architectural decisions and demonstrate technical ownership.
Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency is a plus.
Experience with FastAPI and TypeScript is a plus.
Experience building AI-powered user experiences or integrating AI/LLM services into frontend applications is a plus.
Hands-on experience with AI technologies, LLM ecosystems, AI SDKs, and prompt-based applications is a plus.
Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI services is a plus.
