Responsibilities
- Solve difficult software engineering problems using appropriate technologies and best practices.
- Design and build stable, performant backend software with the team.
- Apply pragmatic design approaches and make appropriate complexity and dependency trade-offs.
- Write maintainable, understandable code and minimize short-term workarounds and incidental complexity.
- Optimize resource usage, including hardware, databases, memory, and CPU.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers on project ideas and product development.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
