Responsibilities
- Build and evolve mission-critical tools and systems that help Waymo scale and serve new markets.
- Solve orchestration and optimization problems involving autonomous vehicle fleets.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and engineering teams to design and develop internal user-facing products.
- Work cross-functionally with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to deliver business-critical infrastructure.
- Ship solutions to novel problems in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of backend engineering or infrastructure experience.
- Experience with C++ is preferred, or willingness to participate in professional development to stay current with industry knowledge.
- Experience working with nontechnical team members is preferred.
- Experience with operations tooling, developer productivity, or developer tools is preferred.
