Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python backend services and APIs.
- Build scalable solutions for ingesting, processing, and transforming large datasets.
- Work with Azure, containerized workloads, batch processing, PostgreSQL, and event-driven architectures.
- Contribute to cloud-native architecture, deployment pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Work with Databricks and modern data-processing approaches.
- Collaborate on system design, data modeling, and platform improvements.
- Improve software quality through code reviews and automated testing.
- Mentor less experienced developers and use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, and technical analysis.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of commercial Python development experience focused on backend engineering.
- Strong experience building backend applications and APIs.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience building data-intensive applications, data pipelines, or systems processing large datasets.
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices, testing, and clean-code principles.
- Experience with Databricks or other modern data platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure services such as Azure Container Apps or Batch Processing.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, deployment automation, and AI-assisted software development tools.
