Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Deliver end-to-end features spanning data models, service architecture, and React-based user interfaces.
- Design integrations between internal applications, production systems, and external services.
- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support applications in a cloud environment.
- Improve system reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product, UX, infrastructure, and game development teams to translate workflows into technical solutions.
- Own larger areas of work, break them into deliverables, and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Gradually support team coordination by organizing day-to-day work, facilitating communication, and tracking priorities and dependencies.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, testing, debugging, and continuous engineering improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience at a senior level.
- Deep expertise in Python and backend development.
- Experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, or comparable frameworks and libraries.
- Experience designing maintainable APIs, data models, integrations, and service architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript backend services.
- Hands-on experience building frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
- Comfort delivering and maintaining complete user-facing features without requiring deep UI specialization.
- Good knowledge of relational databases, including experience with PostgreSQL or comparable systems.
- Experience deploying, operating, or troubleshooting applications in a public cloud environment.
- Understanding of containerization, CI/CD, application monitoring, production support, authentication, authorization, secure API design, and web application security.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including automated testing, code review, debugging, and maintainable design.
- Strong ownership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills in an international cross-functional environment.
- Interest in developing toward a Coordinator position.
- Nice-to-have experience with Google Cloud Platform, Redis, Kafka, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, cloud-native observability, internal tools, or complex production workflows such as game development or media production.
