Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML-powered solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Architect and implement enterprise application integrations using Python, JavaScript, APIs, and microservices.
- Analyze complex datasets to generate insights and inform product direction.
- Drive adoption of AI-augmented workflow automation in customer environments.
- Oversee production deployment, continuous evaluation, monitoring, and improvement of AI solutions.
- Address AI risk assessment, data privacy, GDPR, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Set technical direction and align solutions with business objectives and measurable results.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend software development experience.
- 5+ years delivering impactful AI/ML solutions in production, including founding or forward-deployed engineering experience in 0-to-1 product development.
- Deep expertise in applied AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, with experience in APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration.
- Ability to solve complex ambiguous problems and work in rapidly changing environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Experience with AI risk assessment, data privacy, and compliance such as GDPR.
- Strategic and innovative thinking with a record of aligning technical solutions to business goals.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo AI, or AI-powered Atlassian features; familiarity with regulated industries; experience deploying AI solutions at scale; and mentoring or engineering team leadership experience.
