Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support secure, scalable, and robust full-stack software applications from ideation through production deployment.
- Design backend databases and queries, create and consume APIs, and contribute to front-end user interface development.
- Own one or more applications and provide application architecture and design artifacts.
- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews and influence development and implementation decisions.
- Present technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analyze software for usability and accessibility issues and recommend improvements.
- Ensure products follow architecture, risk management, security, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Serve as the development lead for a Scrum team and lead technical aspects of projects.
- Support existing business systems applications and assign resources or delegate tasks to meet deliverables.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, test engineers, DevOps, operations, and UI/UX teams.
- Travel up to 5% domestically and internationally for partner integrations and offsite meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience as a Solution Architect, Software Engineer, or in a comparable role designing, developing, and supporting secure, scalable, robust full-stack applications.
- At least 6 years of experience with backend database design and queries, SOAP and REST API creation and consumption, and front-end UI development using frameworks including Angular.
- At least 6 years of experience using SQL Developer, IntelliJ, VS Code, Swagger, and Figma.
- At least 6 years of experience with modern integration and application architecture patterns, hybrid cloud environments, APIs, and event-driven systems.
- At least 6 years of experience designing and implementing backend services with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Spring Batch, and Kafka.
- At least 6 years of experience performing solution and application architecture, creating design artifacts, conducting design reviews, and aligning solutions with enterprise standards, security policies, and risk requirements.
- At least 5 years of experience with test-driven development and code reviews.
- At least 5 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, managing work with JIRA, participating in sprint planning, and presenting technical solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and deploying applications in cloud environments and using AWS services including API Gateway, EC2, container-based compute, load balancing, object storage, and workflow orchestration.
- Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns.
